En hälsning från Elizabeth
Hi, my name’s Elizabeth, for starters, I am very involved in the theatre and choir programs at my school. Like most people, I have a need to express myself in a creative way, and I have found that in the performing arts. Specifically, in theatre, I love acting, writing skits, and short comedy sketches to make people laugh. I have met a lot of my friends through the performing arts, and much of my family is also involved in the performing arts. My mom pushed my sister and me into choir at a young age, and we are still both active in choir, and also still sing in multiple choirs. I have met some of my closest friends through the theatre program at my school and I am so thankful for it. Theatre is all about taking risks and trying new things (which sometimes result in failure, but that’s okay). I used to be very shy, but my friends in theatre have pushed me to take more risks, come out of my shell, and express myself. I have very close relationships with my friends and family, and I am so thankful that they are a part of my life.
I have been interested in Sweden for a long time, my Mom speaks Swedish and I’ve gone to Swedish language camp every summer since 2012, I’ve grown up hearing the language and can understand quite a bit. I’ve been interested in learning more Swedish, more about the Swedish culture, and holidays, such as Lucia Day and Midsommar. I have always wanted to go abroad to Sweden, but I specifically want to live with a host family because of the close ties I have with my friends and family at home. I find it amazing that it’s possible to be in an unfamiliar country but live with a family that you have a connection with, and that makes the experience amazing because you meet an amazing family. I am very excited and look forward to meeting you!
